"Inconvenient Place" is a joint project by publicist Jonathan Littell and photographer Antoine d'Agata about Babyn Yar, historical memory, and war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine in the 2000s. The manuscript was completed two days before Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In November 2022, Littell revisited the text to rewrite it according to the new reality, in which Bucha and the occupation of Mariupol have already occurred, and every day reveals new crimes by Russian soldiers in Ukraine.
