Lady Chatterley's Lover
David Herbert Lawrence's novel "Lady Chatterley's Lover" was banned immediately after its release in 1928, and the printed copies were seized and destroyed. The ban lasted for more than 30 years, and only in 1960, following a sensational court case that shook all of England, was the novel rehabilitated, and since then it remains one of the most beloved and widely read. Translators: I. Bagrov and M. Litvinova.
