Howard Phillips Lovecraft revolutionized horror literature by shifting its focus from the ordinary earthly world to a vast, unknown, indifferent universe existing beyond human comprehension. The writer took the ordinary world and infused it with something dark and otherworldly. In his stories, Lovecraft blended mundane reality with cosmic horror, depicting the clash of ordinary people with incomprehensible and sometimes deadly creatures. The collection includes the novella "At the Mountains of Madness" as well as selected stories by one of the most influential myth-makers of the 20th century.
