The Bookshop at the Lighthouse
Newton-Dunbar, a small town nestled in a valley among the mountains in northeast Scotland, is known mainly for the lighthouse that a local landowner built next to his home two hundred years ago, although the sea is not very close from here. Now it houses the only bookstore for many miles around—a focal point for lovers of reading, cozy atmosphere, warm conversations, and good coffee. The bookstore manager, living in the top floor of the lighthouse, Rachel, came here five years ago, fleeing an abusive husband and deciding to start a new life — and found a beloved job and a place she now calls home. After the sudden death of the lighthouse owner, she will have to fight against dishonest dealers and adverse circumstances to try to save the bookstore at the lighthouse, which has taken an important place in the lives of many people close to her.
